Zak Brown and Toto Wolff are steering the conversation towards transparency in F1, calling on the FIA to further investigate Christian Horner’s case, initially probed by Red Bull for allegations of inappropriate behavior. Despite the investigation concluding with Red Bull dismissing the grievance, the lack of detail in the outcome has the motorsport community pressing for more answers.
“I think the sanctioning body has a responsibility and authority to our sport, to our fans,” states McLaren’s Brown, emphasizing the need for full transparency and a thorough review by those governing the sport. Mercedes’ Wolff mirrors this sentiment, highlighting the importance of clarity in such “critical topics” to maintain the sport’s integrity.
With Horner keeping mum over “anonymous speculation” and the F1 world buzzing with rumors, both team principals argue that unanswered questions aren’t just fuel for gossip but a potential hazard for the sport’s reputation.
“We cannot afford to leave things vague and opaque on critical topics like this,” Wolff asserts, advocating for an era of openness to ensure F1 remains in good standing both on and off the track.
